Wind-wave misalignment

Statistics of wind-wave misalignment. The temporal difference between wind direction and frequency dependent mean wave directions is an important design parameter for offshore structures, such as foundations for offshore wind farms. In this investigation causes of the misalignment are studied in relation to numerical modeling techniques to better judge the role of physical and numerical model settings on errors in the resulting statistics and actual design costs.
